COMPOSITION : Azithromycin (Narrow Spectrum)
Class : Macrolides ( Class of antibacterial covers Limited bacteria which cause infections. Erythromycin, Clarithromycin are the same class
Bacteria covered : Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Moraxella Catarrhalis, S.Influenza
Mechanism of Action : Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. Its ability is to bind 50 S ribosomal subunit causing the cessation of protein synthesis
Half Life : 68 hours
T-max : 2.2 hours
MIC : 0.016mg/L to 256mg/L
System retention : 15.5 days after the last dosage
Dose schedule : OD (3 to 5 days)
